Owner's Comments
I have been boating since age 17 when I built my 1st boat. Since that time I have owned many boats of various size and makes including a 60’ Hampton & 50 Grand Banks. Somewhere along the way I realized that any boat involves compromise. In my case I wanted a long range cruiser that I could go far offshore and return quickly and suitable for weekend entertainment and yes safety was at top of the list. I am now approaching my 80th birthday and realize that I have the perfect combination in the Maritimo 51. The quality of this boat is unsurpassed and this particular boat meets all the needs I have wished for for so many years. For cruising its safety and fuel consumption are incredible, while going offshore its weight and structure along with the Seakeeper (for stability) makes it ideal. For entertaining and pleasure it has been perfect for gandkids and friends due to it s large open space and extended platform with safety rails. Oh, and then there is the large “garage” that adds a dimension for storage that few boats have. My only regret is I wish I had found this boat during the middle of my boating years not at the end.
