Hull Shape & Construction

The structural design of the keel has been approved by RINA. This provides an ulterior guarantee of the quality of the structure, which is guaranteed even further by the use of the most advanced construction techniques and materials. These construction techniques and materials are the result of research work carried out to find the best possible compromise between quality, weight and rigidity.The sides of the hull, the deck, the flybridge trays and structures have a sandwich type construction with a high performance PVC core to obtain maximum rigidity and impact resistance. The production of these components makes use of the infusion lamination technique, which reduces the weight and at the same time improves the control and quality of the construction.
Vinyl ester resin is used for the lamination of the entire hull, deck and flybridge. Thanks to its chemical and mechanical properties, this type of resin is extremely effective in preventing osmosis. Because of this, Azimut can offer a 5-year guarantee against osmosis.Top quality vinyl ester resin is used for the remainder of the lamination process. The structural bulkheads of the compartmentation are sandwich type with PVC core, the non-compartmentation bulkheads are in okumé resin. The main joints (hull-deck, for example) are achieved through structural bonding. DUAL MODE type: designed in collaboration with DIXON YACHT DESIGN, this hull
type reduces consumption by 10 to 12% with respect to a traditional planing keel in
displacement mode, and can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots.

• The main panels in the engines room house other thermomagnetic cutouts protecting various 24 V DC and 220 V AC users, housed in two panels mounted on the forward bulkhead and one central panel astern.
• The emergency panel is located on the console on the starboard side of the bridge
