Irie Joe was in the Bahamas in 2019 and came ashore during a hurricane.�  She suffered some damage and has been restored here in Florida.

Very little damage occured during the storm itself.�  The mast was down and damaged the fiberglass hard top.�  Most of the damage occurred when she was unceremoniously pushed back into the water.�  The sail drives were damaged, and the rudders suffered damage.�  This allowed water to enter one of the hulls which flowed to the other hull.� 

The� vessel was made watertight and was towed to Florida where she has been repaired and restored.�  The yacht never sunk but water entered both hulls aft.

She has a new mast, new Yanmar Diesel engines, new saildrives, one new rudder and has been completely rewired.�  Due to the construction method of Maine Cats, light and strong with no interior liner or headliner, she shows no effects of the storm damage she suffered.
