56' Hylas 56 Center Cockpit

Overview

This Hylas 56, designed by German Frers, has been one of the most successful Hylas models. The yacht was Cruising World Magazine's 2011 Boat of the Year.   With her beautiful flag blue hull and teak decks this yacht is particularly striking.   

The in-mast main furling system and deck layout make for easy handling.  She is fast, safe and comfortable. Below, she is elegant, incorporating the owner's tasteful selection of options throughout - even a full-size la Marzacco GS/3 Italian espresso maker.  The main saloon and three staterooms offer natural light and excellent ventilation to balance the exquisite, warm teak interior.  

She has a full set of premium B&G marine electronics and KVH satellite voice, data and television systems; a proven Yanmar BY engine and Northern Lights generator; three air conditioning units and a Spectra water-maker - all supported by the strength, finish, and quality of a legendary builder, Queen Long Marine.  This Hylas 56 is ready for long range cruising and relaxing sunsets.

Hull and Deck Upgrades

• Awlgrip Flag Blue hull with white cove stripe (refreshed in 2016); teak decks and coach roof with teak cockpit sole.
• Custom teak cap-rail and full length teak rub rail with stainless striker.
• Special order cockpit teak planking for seats and Mediterranean 4921 Sunbrella cockpit cushions.  
• Upgraded stainless steel pushpit with integral teak stern seats; custom fitted life raft cradle; and the pushpit was fully extended to the mid-ship gates for safety.

• Port side “L” shaped seating around the custom designed compass rose and ebony inlayed Dining table with an Italian designed base. Seating expanded to 29” depth and covered with Ultra Leather HP 3455 Milkweed fabric.
• Air conditioning vent set between outboard cabinets, and custom fiddle added at cabinet base.
• Full length starboard settee, with expanded 29" depth and custom Kravet Soleil #25763-1114 Terry Chenille fabric cushions. Starboard settee pulls out for sleeping.

• Electrical panel at aft end of chart desk has cut away underneath to allow for chart space.
