Build Quality Build Quality
SeaHunter's hull design delivers an extremely fast and smooth riding boat born to hunt in the wide-open seas. We achieve this through a full, padded v-bottom with a stepped transom. Our hulls are about 10% to 15% faster than regular v-bottom or abbreviated hull designs (also know as stepped hulls). The sharp entry (60 degrees) and deep-vee at the transom (24.5), combined with our oversized chines allow a smooth, dry ride at any speed. The hull design is perfectly designed for optimal depth finder performance at all speeds.
Everything is designed with performance and owner experience at the forefront. SeaHunter owners can expect more time on the water with our high quality systems, as well as, excellent fuel economy resulting from the design that optimizes speed.
SeaHunter starts each project from the ground up with our in house engineering and tooling department. Why this is important? The approach allows us to continually innovate and improve upon our designs, while we test in real life conditions. The final tooling is made only when we are a 100% satisfied that it will exceed our customers' expectations. Manufacturing
SeaHunter boats are manufactured in a new, state of the art 46,000sq ft. facility with an additional 20,000sq ft. adjacent facility housing our engineering and service departments. The buildings are rated for a cat 5 Hurricane with backup generators, which means your purchase will be protected and delivered on time.
Technology
SeaHunter's innovation and technology is based upon a strong aerospace heritage. We build every SeaHunter using the most advanced materials available and latest manufacturing techniques. Prior to founding SeaHunter Ralph Montalvo owned the largest, privately held FAA repair company in the U.S.. SeaHunter manufacturing is based upon composite training from world class aerospace companies.
SeaHunter named our newly engineered technology for the marine industry Vacuum Assisted Lamination Technology, otherwise known as "VALT". VALT starts with only the finest materials available on the market such as DuPont KEVLAR fiber, Vinlyester resin, Carbon fiber and Corecell Core. Through a proprietary laminate schedule, these composites are bonded resulting in the strongest Hull in the industry. Components of the boats are bonded mechanically (thru-bolted) and chemically fused together. The hatches are a Vacuumed blend of materials including Carbon Fiber to give the lightest and strongest Cover possible. Marine Foam is then injected through the hull void areas to give a secondary bond, acoustically dampening operational sound, and results in upright floatation. The final product is simply the best in quality, performance and safety available in the marine industry.
SeaHunter rigging conforms to and exceeds NMMA (National Marine Manufacturer Association) standards. Hardware is 316 stainless steel, fuel tanks are double the thickness of most of our competitors at 1/4 inch diameter aluminum with an epoxy barrier to help protect against the elements. The ergonomics of each SeaHunter is engineered to the 95th percentile.
Fishability
Designed for the professional captain or the weekend warrior, every SeaHunter is a comfortable fishing machine comprised of many well thought out and proven features. From bow to stern, every aspect of the boat has been ergonomically engineered for functionality and safety. For example, the freeboard gives the angler true support (safety), while allowing easy access to gaff or release target species. Decks are clean, non-skid with no step ups or raised hinges. The console and leaning posts have well thought out, integrated toe kicks. Each is designed with plenty of storage including integrated rod holders, while anglers have plenty of room to walk around the console. Our live wells are standard, while optional wells give you the most live bait capability in the industry. The coring and foam make is extremely quiet and will give you more shots at fish than louder hulls. You'll appreciate that our caps are larger and have been designed for anglers to move around the boat in comfort, allowing ease of use for anchoring, sighting fish, sitting and throwing a cast net. It also provides a wider surface to mount rod holders custom to your needs.
