Overview
Ã?Â
Designed by Berret-Racoupeau, the all-new Beneteau 343 is a sophisticated, comfortable cruiser incorporating a voluminous interior filled with an abundance of light and ventilation. A wonderful, spacious cockpit offers a patented innovative pivoting steering wheel allowing easy access from the helm to companionway. The 343 has a long list of standard options that give this 34-footer incredible value that the competition will find difficult to surpass. The manufacturer reserves the right to alter equipment and specifications without notice. All specifications are approximations and are not contractual in nature.
Ã?Â
CONSTRUCTION:
Ã?Â
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: All the gel coat and resin products used by Beneteau today are low-styrene and MACT compliant. Beneteau also recycles and re-uses all the acetone used during production.
Ã?Â
HULL: Hand-laid solid G.R.P. hull with a directional fiberglass/G.R.P structural hull liner. The hull is laid up with a vinylester barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering, followed by a zone-specific stitch mat laminate schedule to meet the specific strength requirements of each different section of the hull. The hull liner is laminated using high-strength non-woven stitchmat fiberglass and unidirectional rovings to achieve maximum structural distribution of all loads and forces while controlling weight. The completed hull and hull liner are bonded together using a proprietary polyester adhesive compound that chemically links the parts together.
Ã?Â
DECK: Cored sandwich construction for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcements are located in high load and hardware mounting locations. Unidirectional roving reinforced deck beams integral to the deck liner lamination are bonded to the deck for added strength.
Ã?Â
BULKHEADS: are bonded 360° to the hull and deck for structural strength.
Ã?Â
INTERIOR WOODWORK: The hallmark of Beneteaus Advanced woodwork is our joinery. This includes hardwood fiddles, door frames and trim pieces with custom marine grade, zero void, multi-laminate wood faces and bulkheads. The wood is DOUKA, in the mahogany family, known for its beautiful grain. All the wood is finished in a lustrous multi-coat varnish with a cherry stain tint.
