A popular boat, the Wellcraft 270 Coastal is an affordably priced express fisherman whose 9-foot, 6-inch beam is among the widest of any boat in her class. Like her sisterships in the Wellcraft Coastal series, the 270 was built on a smooth-running deep-V hull with moderate beam, a sharp entry, and a solid fiberglass bottom. Thanks to her broad beam, the Coastal?s cockpit is notably spacious for a 27-footer. Storage lockers are found beneath the port and starboard helm seats, and fishing amenities include a lighted livewell, insulated in-deck fish boxes, bait-prep station, rod holders, transom door, raw water wash down, and a tackle center. Because the side decks are narrow, a walk-through panel in the curved windshield provides access to the foredeck. Below decks, the 270 Coastal sleeps four with V-berths forward and a wide mid cabin berth aft. The enclosed standup head contains a shower and molded sink.
