WALKTHROUGH
The Passport 470 CC has a solid hull layup constructed with biaxial fiberglass fabric using vinylester and isophthalic resins. Gelcoat is Ashland Maxguard on all exterior fiberglass surfaces. Hull strength and stiffness is the result of construction with longitudinal and transverse foam cored stringers laminated with biaxial fiberglass. Lead ballast is glassed into the fin keel. The rudder is hung on a balanced skeg and the rudderpost is stainless steel with integral stainless steel reinforcements.
The entire deck structure is fiberglass layup with a Divinycell closed cell core. There are no wood cores used anywhere in the deck as backing plates. All deck hardware is through bolted with stainless steel bolts and stainless steel backing plates. High bulwarks on the deck insure safe movement on the deck in all weather conditions. The 30” high life line stanchions are through bolted with double life lines and made of 316 stainless steel 1.25” diameter.
