Superbly designed by Groupe Finot, the Beneteau 423 has become Beneteau's best-selling sailboat of all time.  With its tall rig and deep keel, the Beneteau 423 sails efficiently, steers precisely, and can achieve impressive acceleration.  This sailboat is ideal for short-handed sailing too, as all of the controls are conveniently located in the cockpit.  The cockpit is exceptionally large -- comfortably seating 6-8 for drinks at sunset.  The helmsman's seat brilliantly slides aside to create a walk-through transom for easy access to the swim platform and dinghy.  This particular Beneteau is powered by a newer 2013 Yanmar 4JH5E 54-horsepower, direct drive, diesel engine (hours: 877).
This boat feels huge -- both in the cockpit and down below.  Upon descending the companionway ladder, you will see this boat is spacious and elegant with that stunning Beneteau woodworking.  All wood below is Douka, a light wood in the mahogany family, with a cherry-stained varnish.  The extensive woodwork in the saloon, galley, and cabins is exceptionally warm, rich, and pleasing to the eye.  The saloon boasts an impressive 6'5" headroom.  The large galley with extensive storage features a 3-burner stove/oven, top-loading freezer, microwave, deep double stainless sinks, and the very popular front-loading refrigerator.
One of people's favorite features of the Beneteau 423 are the triple skylights in the saloon.  They create a light, open atmosphere around the sizeable dinette and, conveniently, come with built-in, pull-across shades when less light is needed.  The two-cabin Beneteau 423 has a full chart table located at the interior nav station with an additional chartplotter.  This saloon comes equipped with a flat-screen television.
The large, forward, master stateroom with a roomy centerline berth is another attractive feature of the Beneteau 423.  The centerline berth makes for easy access in and out of bed and comfortable sleeping.  The master stateroom has its own adjacent, private head with a stall shower.  The master stateroom has excellent storage with abundant natural light and water views.  The aft stateroom also has a huge berth with ample storage and a private access to the main head with a shower.  Two heads are an important feature on a boat of this size.
It is easy to see why the Beneteau 423 is one of Beneteau's most popular sailboats ever.
