A 28' Luhrs Open Hardtop Sportfish is now available on Long Island, New York for all you Nor' Easters enjoyment. This Luhrs 28 Open Hardtop has the grace and power to get you where the fish are biting or for a nice cruise and overnight for up to 4 people.  The vessel is 31'10" (LOA) boat and Luhrs has managed to squeeze out every bit of space efficiently!  That includes a hardtop which  is the only way to go in an express. Not only from a sun safety standpoint, but also to extend the season, keeping you warm and dry.

The introduction of the Luhrs 28 Open in 2005 came as great news for offshore anglers who prefer the reliability of inboard power coupled with style and efficiency.

With her flowing lines and large cockpit, the 28 Luhrs Open offers an great mix of fishing and family-friendly features.With a beam measuring 11'6" this 28-footer allows the well-appointed interior to provide the space and comfort of a much larger ship.

Seat backrests convert to pipe berths to accommodate a crew of four, and overhead racks can store up to eight rods.

The full-feature cockpit of the 28 Open comes equipped with a transom fish box, insulated livewell to port, and bait-prep center with cutting board and tackle drawers. The bridge deck lifts for access to electrical panel, fuel tanks, and the engines.

Additional features include fresh and saltwater washdowns, cockpit lazarette with rudder and pump access, and space at the helm for electronics.

With a modified deep-V hull and a solid fiberglass bottom Yanmar 240 hp diesels cruise at 24 knots. With 300 gallons of fuel, this boat has outstanding range.
