One of Navigatorââ?¬â?¢s most successful models, the 4800 Classic was introduced in 1997 as a competitively priced pilothouse yacht with the comforts and features of boats costing many thousands more. Stepping inside from the cockpit, the 4800ââ?¬â?¢s full beam salon is tastefully finished with rich cherry wood cabinets and trim. A large sofa is to starboard with a barrel chair to port and two bar stools forward at the bar. A home size galley is forward with full-size refrigerator and tons of storage. Up two steps is a U-shaped dinette to port and lower helm with deck access door to starboard. Companionway steps lead from the pilothouse down to the stateroomsââ?¬â??the full beam master is aft, VIP is forward. The engine room is reached via a cockpit hatch. Twin 370hp Volvo diesels cruise at 15ââ?¬â??16 knots
4800 PerformanceNavigator Yachts hull shape was designed with one thing in mind: make the best use of a minimum amount of fuel and horsepower, and retain the maximum amount of boat speed and efficiency. In doing so, Navigator created a wide hull shape that is stable at rest and at displacement speed, while achieving 30% less wetted running surface when on a plane. The result is a hull with much less drag, significantly smoother ride, and far better fuel economy.
