Vessel Walk Thru
Accommodations for four in a two stateroom, two head (both with stall showers) layout. The interior is a full satin finish varnished teak in the salon and master stateroom, and varnished teak trim on white flat panels in the fore and aft companionway, guest stateroom, and heads. This lovely Grand Banks 46 Europa is fitted with varnished teak and holly soles throughout. There is an abundance of natural light and ventilation with the Salon surrounded with windows (four of them with sliders with screens), six large stainless steel ports and three hatches, again, all with screens. When natural ventilation is not enough, three reverse cycle (heat and cool) air conditioning units will keep the boat comfortable in a wide range of conditions. Artificial lighting is equally well thought out as natural lighting is with overhead recessed 12 Volt lighting throughout and swivel style brass reading lamps at the berths and settees. Headroom throughout is 6'-6" or better.
Starting forward is the Owner's Stateroom featuring an island queen berth below which is extensive storage in two deep cargo drawers and further storage accessed via the gas assist lift on the aft end of the berth. Outboard the hull is sheathed in varnished teak ceilings and other joiner work that includes two lockers and a five drawer bureau aft and to port, and small desk and hanging locker aft and to starboard. A TV cabinet is above (no TV).
The Owner's Head accessed from the stateroom is aft and to port and features a Vacuflush W.C., Corian Vanity and sink, and separate stall shower draining to a separate sump with pump.
Aft off the companionway to port is the Guest Stateroom with athwartship single berths fore and aft with drawer storage under. A lined hanging locker is outboard between them. Opposite to starboard is a Guest Head fitted with Vacuflush W.C., Corian vanity and sink, and stall shower compartment.
Up four steps to the Salon, Galley and Lower Helm, The Galley is first to port with Corian counter tops and Corina undermount sink. Fitted with the optional overhead dish compartments there is an abundance of storage with several additional lockers and a set of drawers. Chilled food stuffs are handled in a front load Grunert 110 Volt refrigeration box and top load Grunert freezer. Cooking is done from the 3 burner force 10 propane stove with oven installed new in 2016.
Opposite to starboard is the Lower Helm with full vessel controls, adjacent side door, double helm seat with chest of drawers under and electrical distribution panels within arm's reach.
The aftermost portion of the house is devoted to the Salon with L-Settee to port plus a bureau with storage aft. The L-Settee is fitted with the optional pneumatic struts to lift, with one finger, each section to access storage. This Grand Banks 46 Europa is upgraded with the optional high/low teak table for dining. Opposite are two barrel chairs between which there is an entertainment console and forward most is a bureau which houses a "dry bar" and the ice maker. The Salon is an attractive blue Ultra-suede.
The Grand Banks 46 Europa layout does a wonderful job bringing the outdoors in, both with the extensive windows in the Salon but also with the double sliding doors from the Salon to the Aft Deck which immediately adjoins. This full width space has plenty of room for deck chairs and below there is immense storage capability in a lazarette farthest aft with what is often referred to as a "garage" just forward with space for gear and some auxillary systems.
Wide side decks with bulwarks with the preferred stainless safety rails lead fore and aft while a proper staircase (with storage under) leads from the Aft Deck to the Flying Bridge. The Flying Bridge is fitted with the optional L-Settee with storage under and teak grate table. This along with the companion double fore and aft facing bench seats (with storage under) and a deck chair or two allows the hosting of a dozen people at once. Room for dinghy storage aft.

AdditionalThis incredible Grand Banks 46 Europa has been under current ownership since early 2012. In the off season she has been stored in inside heated storage eight plus months per year though she was taken to Hilton Head last winter. The level of maintenance conducted on this yacht is seldom seen; she is impeccably clean! While you often hear the euphemism that you could eat out of the bilge on this boat, you literally can! All of the maintenance has been pro-active, as a showing will prove.
