One of the most popular 28-foot cruisers ever produced, the Albin 28 TE combines distinctive Downeast styling with a spacious cockpit and comfortable cabin accommodations. The 28 is heavily built on a modified-V hull with a generous 10-foot beam, deep forefoot, and a prop-protecting skeg keel. . Belowdecks, the roomy interior of the 28 TE has the comforts of a larger cruiser with a full-service galley with fridge and microwave to port, standup head/shower to starboard, midcabin berth aft, and a convertible U-shaped dinette forward. A teak-and holly sole  and six opening STAINLESS STEEL ports provide good cabin ventilation. Wide side decks make it easy to get around on the Albin 28. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, transom door, trim tabs, gunnel rod holders, full-height bow rail, raw-water washdown, bow thruster, and transom storage boxes. Cruise at 16–18 knots with single 315hp Yanmar diesel.

The coveted GATSBY edition opens the boat up with a the head turning profile of a picnic boat with custom features like the stainless steel ports and Mahogany steering wheel, Fiberglass bench seat with sunbrella material for the cushions.
