Overview

TACKS SEASON TOO is a beautiful, high center cockpit performance cruising yacht built to the highest standards. A terrific shorthanded passagemaker with speed and agility. Featuring a well thought out layout, she has two large staterooms, exceedingly spacious salon, two heads, full galley, well-designed navigation center, walk-in engine room/shop and an abundance of storage throughout. Bill Dixon has been known throughout the world for decades as a first class designer of premium cruising and performance yachts. This graceful Taswell 56 is no exception. This scheel keel model draws only 6' 6". Above decks, the powerful sail plan with cutter rig with self-tending staysail is ideal for easy cruising short-handed. The large cockpit offers plenty of space and there is well-planned deck space forward. Wide bathing steps are built into the transom for easy access to the water on those warm days. TACKS SEASON TOO has enjoyed loving care since new and it makes her one of the nicest high quality cruisers on the market.

Accommodations

The popular two stateroom layout is great for extended cruising with room for guests. Quality materials, exquisite design and attention to detail provide the ambiance expected of a vessel in her class. The floor plan is open and generous. TACKS SEASON TOO features a large, bright and airy salon with plenty of headroom at 6’ 6”, nicely equipped galley, two heads with separate shower, full navigation center and walk-in work shop. Forward is the large guest head with separate shower, sink, vanity and abundant storage. Directly aft of the head is the full-beam VIP cabin with large, double Pullman berth to port and convertible pilot berth to starboard, which is over the large desk with swing-out seating. Hanging locker, drawers and shelves provide plenty of storage. The extra-large main salon uses the full 16' 6" beam for an exceptionally open feel. To port is a large, U-Shaped Settee with adjustable table with two removeable leaves. Opposite is the starboard side settee. All upholstery is Ultrasuede and is in good condition. Aft of the settee on the port side is the cleverly designed navigation station where all instruments and radio are set above the chart table so as not to encroach on the floor space; making the layout all the more spacious. Forward of the starboard settee are more well-designed storage lockers and shelves. The interior is bathed in natural light provided by large fixed windows on both sides of the salon and double hull ports adding to the open feel and providing great views. The large owner's suite features a centerline queen bed, large en suite head with stall shower, electric flush toilet and an abundance of storage. Comfortable seating, elegant design and lots of storage are among the strengths of her design. Three separate AC units, Hot/Cold Water system with fresh water pump and accumulator tank make life comfy.
