Full Specifications
History, Accommodations, & FeaturesThe interior of this two owner, like new, Island Packet 45 is very special. When the boat was delivered from the factory it was sent with extra matching teak to build custom cabinetry. Expert carpenters made some beautiful additions to this already very handsome boat. Starting aft there is added cabinetry above the existing outboard galley cabinets, the salon has an added, matching locker with doors to duplicate the starboard side, the owners stateroom has custom cabinets and drawers above the existing port side lockers and the forward head has custom teak shelving. You simply have to see this Island Packet to really appreciate it. This IP 45 was sailed exclusively on fresh water until 2010. Throughout its life on the Great Lakes, she was in heated storage during the winter months. Interior storage included the boat, dinghy, mast, boom and roller furling systems. With one of the most innovative, practical and well-appointed interiors to ever appear in a yacht of this size range, “Far Niente’s" accommodations are focused on both the requirements of extended cruising and a comfortable lifestyle when spending time aboard. Two large double staterooms, well separated for privacy and each with its own head and shower, are separated by a large, comfortable salon that provides a great place for entertaining and relaxing. There is a large and accommodating navigation desk/station where the boat can be effectively piloted using the Raymarine autopilot and charting system during extreme weather situations. Included is a chart storage cabinet in aft stateroom, five teak book racks and Weems & Plath stainless steel clock & barometer. Main salon cushions are covered with vibrant custom made slip covers. The master suite has a Froli ‘box spring’ system under the factory mattress and is then topped with 3 inches of memory foam creating an extremely comfortable sleep experience. - Salon Cushions are covered with washable slip covers - original upholstery underneath is clean and well preserved.
