Manufacturer Provided Description
The Tartan 4100 feels right at home rounding buoys, blue water cruising, and family day sailing. Another winning design from Tim Jackett puts the 4100 within reach of the most discerning cruiser or the competitive club racer. Her 35+ foot waterline accounts for over eight knots of hull speed helping get you to the mark or that exotic destination with speed, comfort and prowess.
A full-sized T-shaped cockpit with comfortable seating and superbly located sail controls allows you and your mate or your entire crew to easily manage the 4100s powerful sail plan.
The 4100 is no exception to Tartanââ?¬â?¢s high standard of engineering and is designed to be structurally strong and sound. Like all Tartans, the 4100 is built to meet the rigid standards of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The hull is hand-crafted with a vinylester barrier coat between NPG/ISO gelcoat and the hand laid laminate of unidirectional ââ?¬Å?Eââ?¬ï¿½ glass and balsa core.
For added strength and rigidity the floor timbers and full bulkheads are internally framed while still in the mold. With the same structural integrity of the hull, the deck is sandwich balsa and glass composite. Solid glass and aluminum backing plates are located at all hardware installation points for unsurpassed strength and durability.
The deck is both pleasing to the eye and functional. You and your crew will feel safe and sure footed with the patterned non-skid surface. Deck hardware is positioned with both convenience and at the correct angles so the energy you expend goes into sailing the 4100, not awkward, inefficient positions.
Relax at the helm and feel the control and the tight responsiveness of the 4100. The Tartan 4100 brings you comfort, beauty and performance in a craft built with the strictest dedication to strength and durability. Most importantly, it provides unsurpassed freedom and confidence in sailing.
AccommodationsThis Tartan 4100 offers classic and elegant accommodations, highlighted by a teak interior, a teak and holly sole, and dark blue cushions throughout.
