Condition
Before winterizing the engines were checked out. Now both have new fuel pumps. The closed cooling system was serviced with new gaskets, new circulating pumps, and coolant. This is a well taken care of Wellcraft 3600 Martinique express cruiser. The transom and letters on the name seems to get a good deal of exposure to direct sunlight, and they are the only area of this entire boat that could use some TLC. The exposed fiberglass is clean, and shows a high gloss finish.
There is a very small spot on the swim platform that has a small area of damage. It is photo documented. Please not the entire area of damage is about the size of a thumb, so don't panic when you see the extreme close-up.
Inside the boat is beautiful, well cared for and meticulously maintained. There was no area inside the salon, head or staterooms that required a wipe down before taking the photos. Inside, this boat is spotless! The fit and finish is truly Wellcraft! Richly appointed in white and dark teal the leather/vinyl is without blemish, wear, or defect. The trim is mostly chrome, with dark smoked glass accenting and setting off the colors! Teal carpet, and perfect white headliner with recessed lighting finishes this perfect package! The non-slip flooring area at the foot of the steps, as well as the steps themselves were fresh, white and showed no signs of wear, discoloration, or any type of dirt or dust. This is truly a boat that makes you want to remove your shoes before boarding!
The rear cockpit and entertainment area feature a completely enclosed camper style enclosure, including top, Isinglass and large screen over the transom. The screen need a small amount of restitching. There are zippers above both transom doors, making entry and egress unencumbered. Includes matching throw pillows and color coordinated bed coverings in the cabin area. The cockpit and helm area of this boat is extremely functional, and comfortable! The helm features a folding bolster seat that allow the captain to comfortably stand during slow speed maneuvering. The cockpit features a huge wrap around lounge around 3 sides. The entire lounge area folds down in sections, so all, part or non of the lounge can be used. There is a removable serving table in the lounge that is equipped with both high and low center tubes, so the table is comfortable for meals, and can be lowered to use as a ?coffee table?, or completely removed. This boat also features transom doors on both the port and starboard sides. There is a very functional walk through windshield that allows easy passage from the helm to the front deck area. The owner reports he is able to dock without assistance because of the feature.
Mechanically, the vessel is very clean, and well cared for. The bilge and engine areas are clean, free of dirt, dust, grease or mechanical residue. Packings appear to be drip less. The boat was out of the water, and winterized when I visited.
The navigational equipment is in need of updates.
The owners are retired. They live in southern Michigan for 4 months during the summer, and enjoy the company of friends. The other 8 months finds them in Florida, enjoying life and spending time with new friends. They purchased this vessel brand new, and retain the original Certificate of Origin from the Manufacturer.
The owner claims one of the fuel gauges is not functioning. He chooses to allow both engines equal access to both tanks, and claims that the tanks take equal amounts of fuel at every fill up.
The vessel is currently winterized, and will be covered and moved to inside storage.
SPECIAL NOTE: This boat is owned by a former marina owner. This boat has had the very best in care since being initially serviced and put into service. Though the owner sold the marina, he still owns all of the buildings and property. Part of the lease agreement for the property is for this boat to be professionally serviced, cleaned, winterized, stored, and cared for with the fine attention to detail. The boat was used very sparingly over the 2014 season.
Owner does not have time to use anymore.
