âWANDERLUSTâ? sleeps six in two separate berths and a convertible dinette.
Vessel Walkthrough
Starting forward is a V-berth with a filler cushion. There is a water tank and stowage beneath the berth, three-drawer dresser with upholstered seat to port, and a two-door cabinet to starboard, two opening ports and an overhead hatch. The floor is teak and holly throughout the forward stateroom and main cabin area.
Moving aft, to port is a traditional fold-down table with integrated shelving unit and a custom built bottle storage rack. The L-shaped dinette seat converts to a large berth for two.
Across from the dining area is the entertainment center which separates two upholstered seats, one of which is used at the nav station. This area has plenty of storage with drawers and compartments in every available space. Above the nav station is an ICOM chart plotter, B&G network data screen, Uniden VHF radio, propane control, and the shipâs AC and DC electrical panel. The nav station faces aft, and above the table is a gimbaled kerosene lantern, clock, barometer and tide clock. Numerous additional cabin lights have been added to the interior, many of which have dual white/red bulbs for night time passage-making.
Directly across from the nav table on the port side is a two-basin stainless steel sink with an optional raw water pump and Adler/Barbour refrigeration unit. The galley is L-shaped with plenty of countertop area, a Goldstar microwave oven, Hillerange propane stove and oven unit.
The cabin receives plenty of natural light through six opening ports and an overhead hatch. All bulkhead areas and cabinetry is teak and is in excellent condition. The main cabin has 6â 6â? headroom.
Aft of the galley on the port is access to the guest berth through a teak louvered privacy door. One opening port and an overhead hatch provide good light and ventilation to the guest quarters. It also has a large V-shaped berth with filler cushion, a two-door teak cabinet and 6â 2â? headroom.
Across from the galley and slightly aft is the head with a separate shower seat and shower area. The sink and vanity area, as well as the toilet, is protected from overspray by a Plexiglas divider. There is a Jabsco toilet, concealed flush-mounted bath tissue dispenser, mirrored medicine cabinet over the vanity, an overhead hatch, one opening port, and the walls are an easy to wipe down white Formica trimmed with well-maintained teak.
Just aft on the centerline is the 35 hp Universal diesel (new 2003). Access is provided by a removable panel behind the steps leading to the cockpit. This removable panel has a large Plexiglas window so that the engine compartment and engine can be viewed when underway without removing the panel.
A six-step ladder leads from the main cabin to the cockpit area. There is symmetrical seating with stowage underneath on both sides of the cockpit, a hinged helm seat with adjacent seating, as well as a teak folding table and drink holder mounted to the helm pedestal. The stowage compartment under the starboard seating contains the 14 gallon holding tank with overboard discharge, and access to the rear of the Universal engine. Batteries and safety gear are also accessed in these two under-seat stowage areas. There is a port side raw water wash down and Lewmar winches. The helm is made up of an Edson pedestal with a Ritchie binnacle mount compass, engine controls and B&G instruments including time and distance log, wind instruments, depth with alarm, and Autohelm FT4000 autopilot. Visibility is excellent with both the dodger and full enclosure in place. The cockpit teak is in like-new condition. The vessel also has a Magma propane grill and the transom and transom ladder are all trimmed in high gloss teak. All engine instrumentation and a Uniden VHF radio are easily accessed from the starboard side of the helm seat.
Topside is an outboard motor davit, 8 hp Suzuki outboard motor, externally mounted propane tank, Airex Marine wind generator, and Marine Sat satellite television system. The bright work and hatches are protected with Sunbrella covers, and there are two anchors mounted on a teak and stainless steel pulpit. The windlass is a Maxwell 800, and both the CQR and Fortress anchors are equipped with chain rodes.
