This great yacht could be the ultimate cruising vessel. With a great looking dark blue hull this could turn heads at your local club or cruising the coastline. She has a Ray Hunt designed hull, with solid fiberglass below the waterline, great ride and tremendous seakeeping.

*  Please Note:  This classic 48 Albin North Sea Cutter, until recently,  was owned  by the President of Albin Marine, Fred Peters, and since new it was his personal yacht. For many years she was lightly used and cruised and meticulously kept.  Mr. Peters unfortunately passed away and this beautiful yacht fell into disrepair and need of maintenance. The suggested maintenance and repair list would include all exterior brightwork to be refinished, interior flooring needs carpeting or refinishing, much of the interior woodwork needs refinishing, and cushions need recovering. A new swim platform and updated electronics. Other cosmetic and service items need attention.  However she runs well and will be commissioned for this spring launch. This is reflected in her pricing. We encourage offers. However at the ask price current repairs will be continued. At any substantially reduced offer this vessel will be sold as is, where is.

She is powered by twin Volvo, 255 HP Diesels and will cruise at 14 to 16 Knots. She also had a 5 KW Westerbeke Generator that was installed new in 1998.  The generator is not running at this time and needs service or replacement.  She is a two stateroom layout with a galley down to port. Her master stateroom aft features a centerline Queen berth, plenty of closet space and an enclosed shower with tub and head. She has a nice size salon that is open, airy and bright. Teak and Holly floor throughout. Her galley down has propane stove and oven, frig, sink with manual seawater dish rinse pump, hot and cold pressure water, counterspace and lots of storage. Forward she has another guest stateroom with staggered berths. A full lower station means you can run her in comfort in the worst of weather. Her exterior has teak cockpit, all other decking is fiberglass for low maintenance and wide walkarounds.

Her flybridge will easily accommodate six and it steps down to a large mid entertainment area sundeck. A ladder down accesses the large cockpit with transom door and swim platform. Bimini top on both bridge and sundeck.

This vessel is a huge amount of boat for the money. Other vessels of her type are on the market for more than $200,000. However, as noted above, she needs some TLC and a good interior redecorating; and this is reflected in her price. This great Albin Yacht needs a new home. She can be seen by appointment. Owner will consider any serious offer.

Brokers Observation:     I was on board this vessel when she was being regularly maintained and cruised.  She was a stunningly good looking downeast style yacht in the true sense of the word.  This vessel was powered by the smaller diesels which gave her better fuel economy and long range. This is an outstanding design with her Ray Hunt solid fiberglass blue hull.  If you can dedicate a season into her cosmetics, redectorating, brightwork and repairs you will have an outstanding yacht worth twice her current value.  You can cruise in comfort and style, and if you are looking for a really comfortable livaboard vessel, be sure to schedule a private viewing to discuss you yacht requirements.

*She can be seen by appoint by contacting the listing broker today. Her owner is motivated and will consider all reasonable offers. You may also make an Internet offer contingent to your personal inspection and contingencies. Call or email today to arrange for a viewing or to submit an offer. We look forward to hearing from you.
