36' Monk 36 Trawlers

History

   Cerca Trova's lived her first 17 years in Lake Ontario. She has had three owners, the second owner owned her for three years and did the great loop but had to sell due to health problems. She is currently for sale as a corporation, she can also be purchased out of that corporation. The current owner has had her since 2007 and has kept her primarily in New England waters. Since 2012 she has been stored in Belfast, Maine.

With classic looks the exterior of the Monk is a tradition trawler. All of the teak is painted with the exception of the top rail that has been cetoled. The Monk 36 has a solid fiberglass hull with a cored superstructure.

As you step into Cerca Trova you are in the Salon. It features a teak finish on the furniture and a teak and holly sole. There is a pilots chair, for running the vessel inside, as well as another pilots station in the fly bridge with a full suite of electronics. The settee is a large L-shape with the cushions redone with ultra suede 2015. With two large doors to port and starboard and large windows through out she is very light and airy. There are custom-made teak-framed folding screened doors for both doors and custom-made teak-framed screens for the two hatches.

The galley is just aft of the salon with everything you need. It features a large refrigerator, and freezer, with a force 10 three burner stove and oven. To the starboard of the stove is a pantry/ counter top space and a large double stainless steel Hot/ Cold sink. There is storage located beneath the sink, above the counter top as well as over the refrigerator and another pantry space in the aft cabin. 

The forward cabin features a large V-berth, with a en-suite head. There is drawer storage located below the berth, and lockers and hanging closet. The head is fully equipped with a manual fresh water flushed head, a marble top vanity, teak grated sole. 

The aft cabin has a center-line queen with space on port and starboard give access to plethora of storage cabinets and drawers. To the port is a small desk area with room for a printer and a computer. Off of the aft cabin is another en-suite head. Similar to the forward head it features a marble top vanity and a manual fresh water flushed head. The aft head does have a separate bathing stall with a teak seat and a shower. 

On deck there is a large sundeck with room for a dinghy, it currently has a large deck box for storage of fenders and lines and a force 10 propane grill on the port rail. 

The fly bridge features a full suite of electronics. It is enclosed on three sides with canvas and clear plastic with seating for three at the pilots station, storage below and two deck chairs and a deck storage box aft.
