Accommodations
The Albin 43 provides accommodations for up to six in a fully varnished teak interior with a varnished teak and holly cabin sole. Excellent natural light and ventilation with large hatches fore and aft, bronze ports in the forward cabin, and sliding windows in the aft cabin, as well as the Salon being surrounded by windows, several of which are sliders and the two large side doors. There is an abundance of lighting throughout, with swivel-style reading lamps at all berths and settees and overhead-style lamps in working areas. While it has not been used for a few years, the vessel is equipped with two Marine Air reverse-cycle (heat and cool) air conditioning systems. (The new owner should anticipate having these systems serviced.)
Starting forward is the private Forward Stateroom with 6'-6" V-berth with filler. Above the berth there is a full-length storage shelf and there are drawers and lockers below. Just aft of the starboard "v" is a hanging locker. Aft and to starboard is an enclosed head with vanity with storage, sink with H&C pressure water with a "telephone" style faucet to serve as a shower head. The shower is "ensuite" and drains to a separate sump with pump. The W.C. is a New 2016 electric Jabsco plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank.
Opposite is the U-Shaped Galley. Generous amounts of Formica-topped counters provide plenty of working space, double basin stainless steel sink with H&C pressure water. A Force 10 four-burner propane stove with oven handles the cooking duties and a Litton microwave re-heats conveniently. An 8 cu. ft. Dometic refrigerator/freezer easily accommodates the chilled food stuffs. Equally generous storage in several lockers and drawers.
Up four steps to the Salon and lower helm station. The Salon features a 6'-6" L-shaped settee with storage under. Dining is from a pedestal table which will drop down, allowing the settee to be made into a double berth. Forward of the settee is a bureau with drawers, while opposite is a wet bar aft, then the port side door and forward most a small "breakfast bar". The Lower Helm Station is forward and to starboard with an adjacent side door. The helm is fitted with a bench seat, under which there is a large locker with shelves. All of the Albin 43's electrical distribution panels, navigation equipment, and vessel controls are within easy reach.
Aft most is the full beam Master Stateroom, featuring a true island Queen Berth, below which is storage. Storage may also be found in lockers P&S and in a voluminous hanging locker forward. The adjoining head is fitted with a vanity with sink, a BATH TUB! with H&C pressure water and a Jabsco electric toilet plumbed via a Y-valve to the waste tank.
The interior condition of this Albin 43 shows great care and looks much newer than her build year would suggest.
