Brokers Comments: I have been selling boats for 15 years and this is one of the very best I have ever seen in all those years. It is in spectacular condition inside and out and it is L-O-A-D-E-D with equipment. Not only is the boat loaded and clean, but it has been lovingly maintained. The cabin sole looks like the surface of a piano. There is no evidence of any leaks anywhere. This boat is special.

At the time this boat was built in 1985, Ericson was considered a high-end builder and the quality of construction and finish is evident throughout. The hull has an extensive "tri-axial force grid" that anchors the loads of mast, shrouds and keel, creating an extremely rigid structure. This no doubt contributes to the fact that Tradewinds shows no signs of stress cracks or leaking.

The rig on this boat is special too, since there is a detachable inner forestay with heavy weather jib in addition to the genoa on the roller-furler. This can be set up very quickly. The mast is a black painted double-spreader section in great shape.

The electronics set-up features six (6) Nexus displays that allow you to see a wide variety of data all at the same time. There is a Garmin 215 chartplotter/GPS at the helm.

"Tradewinds" is a special boat in every way, and she only draws 4' 4" for access to virtually any harbor. She has a powerful diesel engine, lots of sails, every imaginable option, and has had tender loving care by her original and her current owner, all on Lake Erie. If you are looking for something that is a cut above the run-of-the-mill used boat, then "Tradewinds" is worth a serious look.
