Accommodations & Layout
There is a chain locker all the way forward with storage accessible from forward cabin immediately aft of chain locker. Forward cabin has an off-center double berth with a pull-out to and width to the bed. There is an unbelievable amount of storage with generous shelving, cupboards and a hanging locker. One opening port, a large hatch above the berth and a Hella fan allow for excellent ventilation. The guest head is to port and aft of the berth with marble counter tops, drawers, cupboards, an opening port and a new Vacuflush head and macerator. A pocket door with a beautiful teak carving separates the salon from the guest cabin. In the salon there are two L-shaped settees with abundant storage under and behind. A large table to port seats six easily. Stereo equipment resides in its own shelving with glass doors. Two huge hatches, several opening ports with custom screens and two fans allow for light and air throughout the salon. Also, there are a new barometer and ship's clock and abundant storage under and behind the settees. Lighting throughout the vessel is dual halogen with red night lighting.
Aft of the salon to starboard is a full-sized chart table and nav station at the foot of the companionway, easily accessed from the helm. Aft of the salon to port is a spacious galley with marble countertops, large 4-door refrigerator with front and top access, double S/S sinks, 3-burner stove/oven and ice maker. To port on the other side of the engine room is a pilot berth with 4 drawers and the generator under the berth. The master cabin head is also accessible from the pilot berth. This head has a separate shower stall and a Vacuflush head. Both heads use fresh water to virtually eliminate the usual corrosion, calcium build-up and odor associated with salt water systems.
Aft of the engine room and galley is a beautiful master cabin with an athwartships queen-sized-plus bed. The mattress is a custom innerspring mattress hinged in the middle for easy access to the storage and equipment below. Two stern ports infuse the cabin with light. Also, there is a bench seat and vanity with mirror, two drawers under the berth, and lots of shelving for books around the perimeter of the bed.
