The 49' Grand Banks has a full walk around teak deck and teak handrails along both sides of the vessel. The aft lazarette has three large hatches that store the emergency steering tiller, spare shaft and spare twin propellers.  The Grand Banks exclusive teak and stainless ladder that leads to the swim platform and splits down into the water for easy water entry and exit. 

The flybridge entrance is aft port side via a staircase. It consists of a beautiful round teak table with chairs for entertaining company. Forward is the double settees with storage below and the helm station to the starboard side. The forward 2/3 of the flybridge has been fully enclosed with isinglass. 

The port side entrance into Sand Dollar has the master stateroom directly aft and down five steps. The stateroom has a full beam walk around queen berth. Drawers and cabinets line both sides of the stateroom with full length dresser tops. Port aft has a corner desk with a bookshelf, reading lamp and built-in speakers for those times when you have work to do. Moving forward is a large walk-in closet with shelving/ hanging locker. Starboard side of the stateroom is the ensuite head that includes a Lectra/ San  head, large vanity area with plenty of storage and a shower stall.

Forward of the master is the spacious salon with windows all around for great natural sunlight and panoramic view. A large L-shaped settee with compartments below and drawers on both ends of the settee for additional storage and a full length teak handrail overhead. The traditional Grand Banks drop-leaf yacht table completes the dining area.

Across on the port side of the salon is a cabinet that stores the Samsung dvd/vhs player, Dynex flatscreen tv and adequate stowage for entertaining. The large Grunert freezer is also in this area and the refrigerator is located on the other side in the galley.

Port side is the galley with adequate counter space to make family dinners along with optimal storage throughout, whether it's the overhead drop down dish lockers along the outboard side or the storage below the countertop. The galley has a three burner electric stove/oven, a large Grunert refrigeration system, microwave, toaster and a deep stainless steel sink with a great view of outside while washing dishes.

Starboard of the galley is the lower helm station with the full navigation center along with the  A/C & D/C panels. Behind the helm is the U-Line ice maker.

The engine room can either be accessed from the main cabin by removing the parquet floor panels or lifting the companionway steps that lead to the forward staterooms.

The companionway provides privacy for the forward guest staterooms with the option to slide the hatch and close the door.

The guest head is located port with a vanity, storage and Lectra/San head. The shower stall has a partially divided wall that includes a shower curtain, built-in teak shelving and an overhead hatch for great lighting.

Across the hall to the starboard side is the double berth stateroom divided by a six  dresser drawer.  The stateroom has additional storage beneath the aft berth, reading lamp overhead and the access panel for the lower helm station. The forward berth is raised which allows for a large storage compartment if needed and overhead has a reading lamp, bookshelf and built-in speaker. This stateroom has excellent natural lighting with the overhead hatch and two windows. 

The forward guest stateroom has a twin berth with a removable insert to create a large double v-berth. There is also a deep hanging locker to port and several drawers to starboard. Behind the entrance door is stored a teak and stainless ladder which can be attached to a large opening hatch to permit access to the foredeck from this stateroom. There are storage drawers under the bed and easy access to the split chain and rope locker.

The companionway stairs lift and lock for easy accessibility to the brightly lit engine, workshop and laundry area. Immediately upon entering the engine room to the port side is the top loading washing machine that is be behind a storage cabinet and the water maker mounted behind it. The Lehman engine is aft and one of the three battery banks aft of the engine. Center of the engine room is a work bench with a large Craftsman tool chest on custom rolling supports. The starboard side includes the other Lehman engine, two battery banks, two Sentry battery chargers, two generators, sink and dryer. Storage capabilities all throughout the engine room.
