"At nearly 200 launched, the Rob Ball-designed C&C 40 was one of Cuthbertson and Cassian?s most successful models. With a beautiful spring to her sheer, rakish stem, reverse transom and rounded cabin house that gently tapers into the fore deck, the C&C 40 looks fast just sitting on her mooring. But her wolf exterior hides a sheep and this one is the aft cabin version. The C & C 40's make very nice cruisers as well as powerful racers. There is very little exterior wood to keep you at the dock maintaining it instead of spending your time sailing & cruising. The C & C 40 was introduced in 1978 and @ 125 boats were built up until 1983.
