"CHULA" is a center cockpit-aft cabin, ketch rigged, ocean voyaging yacht and is one of Bill Gardens finest designs and has set the standard for long-range voyaging sail boats. Arthur Beiser in his definitive work "The Proper Yacht" describes the Vagabond 47 as "more ship than yacht". The Vagabond 47's loaded draft is only 5' 6" and yet she still handles well in light air and close to the wind and once a heavy displacement hull has a little way on, it will move steadily in the lightest of winds. The Vagabond 47 is the most proven yacht of its size and class. "CHULA" represents the best value for top quality at a very attractive price. Live-aboards, weekenders, or world cruisers..."CHULA" is a very nice yacht, that has been in the same family since 1984/1985 and has been passed down from one generation to the next.

Brokers remarks: PRICE REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE! Built by BlueWater Yachts, Taiwan the Vagabond 47 is a heavy displacement ketch rig, full keel, with a skeg rudder designed for both blue water ocean sailors and coastal cruisers. This yacht offers teak decks, while the interior offers solid teak with a hand rubbed satin finish. The one-piece hull is of hand laid solid fiberglass construction with an internally-sealed, cast iron ballast encapsulated in fiberglass. This center cockpit yacht is extremely spacious and well equipped, however she has been dry stored for a few years and all systems need to gone thru. Exterior needs complete wood re-treat whether you like natural or sealed. Her interior is very clean and well oiled. Mechanically she seems sound. THE BOTTOM LINE IS A CHANCE TO BUY ONE OF THESE WORLD FAMOUS YACHTS FOR WELL UNDER MARKET IS DUE TO FAMILY IS SPREAD TO THIN TO HANDLE THE BOAT AND OTHER INTEREST. SO THEY SELL RELUCTANTLY. SHE HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE THE ONE OWNER AFTER BUILD. SHE NEEDS WORK BUT IS PRICED ACCORDINGLY.
This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a Vagabond 47 well under the market price. ALL OFFERS CONVEYED TO SELLERS.
