Accommodations
,As center cockpit designs go the Gulfstar 44's are hard to beat. The extra large salon provides a focal point for easy socializing with a dining table that will sit 6 comfortably. The galley flows naturally from the companionway and with the U shape it provides a secure place to prepare meals in any sea conditions. With the slight stepdown it affords full standing headroom for even a 6' 6" cook. On the opposite side, a large forward-facing navigation station with dedicated seating for the navigator is positioned so as to communicate efficiently with the helmsman. A long passageway aft does triple duty -- first, by providing outboard storage lockers in abundance; second, by providing an access point to the engine room and mechanical systems; and third, by assuring complete privacy for owners occupying the aft stateroom. The Owners stateroom has a large aft berth that sleeps two comfortably with 6'5" plus berths. Can be converted back to a king size bed with insert and cushion. There is lots of storage with hanging locker, drawers and shelves. There is an ensuite head with separate shower. At the opposite end of the salon is a large V-berth and a second head compartment for guests with two entry doors, one from the salon and the other from the forward cabin. Throughout the boat, the joinery work is of a high quality, and ventilation is superb, with 11 opening ports and four opening hatches.

Brokers CommentsNew Bottom paint March 2016 Trinidad SR paint applied
All bottom paint was removed in 2004 and the bottom was barrier coated at that time. Prior to that the boat was in fresh water in Canada. There has not been a blister on this vessel since the current owners purchased the boat 15 years ago.
Having owned a 44 Gulfstar and sailing it through the Caribbean, I can attest to the quality of these vessels. This is truly one of the nicest 44 Gulfstars I have ever seen. If you are interested in a very excellent cruiser and a great live aboard vessel you owe it to yourself to see this one.
