This is a well-traveled, bargain-priced center cockpit ketch owned by a Frenchman who cruised to the Bahamas with her as recently as this past winter. He has owned her since 1996 and made five trans-Atlantic crossings with her "without any worries," he reports. She is not available for sale to U.S. residents while in U.S. waters, as U.S. Customs duty has not been paid, but she would make a good boat for Canadians or Europeans who are looking to buy something reliable that is already in Florida, for use in the Bahamas this coming winter. Her Perkins 4-108 diesel was reconditioned in 2002 at 4,000 hours, and although she is now at 5,370, her owner reports that the engine is still strong, and quite capable of many more years of cruising. As you would expect, PJUSKE is loaded with cruising equipment -- everything from a Viking liferaft and Iridium satellite telephone to heavy-duty ground tackle and solar panels.
