28' Bristol Channel Cutter 28 '80 "Cosmic Dancer"

Made popular by the sailing authors, Lin and Larry Pardey, whose motto was ââ?¬Å?Go Simple, Go Small, Go Now,ââ?¬ï¿½ the Bristol Channel Cutter is a fiberglass production version of the popular design by the late Lyle Hess.

This BCC was built by Channel Cutter Yachts in Vancouver, BC and launched in 1980. Her previous owner sailed the boat up and down the west coast before selling her to her current owners in 2007.

During the next 14 years, the current owners have rebuilt and upgraded nearly every system on board with an eye to ease of maintenance and serviceability while at sea. In lieu of refrigeration, the COSMIC DANCERs icebox is made from over 4.5 of foam and will hold the cold for up to a week. Navigation and interior lights are primarily LED to reduce power consumption. Her electrical system is double redundant with oversized wires and clean routing. All hardware attached through the deck coring has been isolated to protect the coring from any future leaks. Rigging terminals are found both top and bottom meaning repairs can be made at sea without need for special swaging devise. She is 95% ready to go to sea should her next owner decide to take her there!
