Accommodations & Layout
Chain locker in bow is accessed from large V-berth cabin/V-berth bunk with fold-over V-berth insert to convert to a double berth. Outboard port and starboard bookshelves and cabinets. Two large drawers and several storage cabinets under bunk. En suite enclosed head and shower to port and hanging locker to starboard behind cabin door.
Main salon has a Force 10 kerosene cabin heater on forward bulkhead with pantry storage under shelf. Three-tier teak mail/pen/key rack near heater and bulkhead mirror create a spacious feel. Circular dinette to port has storage under and converts to a double berth. Outboard shelves, cabinets and additional storage in the table. A beautiful 110V chandelier hangs from over head. Television.
Opposite to starboard is the galley with six large slide-open cabinets and custom dish rack on forward bulkhead. Bronze clock and barometer also mounted on forward bulkhead. Under forward countertop is a large top-loading refrigerated icebox with new Adler-Barbour refrigerator system which was installed February 2001. Two S/S sinks with pressure and manual water pumps. Aft of countertop is a three-burner Wedgwood propane stove with oven. Several large storage cabinets under counter and stove. Four drawers under aft galley counter space. Seven port lights and one large opening porthole near stove keep salon/galley area bright and well ventilated.
Moving aft to starboard is the chart table/nav area. Large storage under table top with folding stool, which stows underneath. Outboard of table are eight small drawers, a bookshelf and a large chart drawer. Inboard, under center cockpit is a storage cabinet forward, access to the engine room and a hanging locker aft. Opening port hole to cockpit from chart table area adds lights and ventilation in the pass-through area to the aft cabin.
Entering aft cabin is a starboard hanging locker door doubles as cabin privacy door. Cockpit access with companionway ladder in storage. Bureau/vanity area starboard aft of hanging locker has outboard shelved cabh1et, fiddled counter space with two drawers and storage under. Athwartships mattress on top of aft berth. Seats to port and starboard forward of the cabin. Three opening portholes and one port light in cabin sides add to light and ventilation. Forward port corner of cabin is enclosed head area with capped-off showerhead spigot, sink, counter space and lots of storage cabinets plus medicine cabinet behind mirror.
