The Valiant 32 was the result of the enduring success of the Valiant 40. Conceived as an equally offshore-capable vessel for those not requiring the size of the 40, the 32 possesses the same excellent reputation for windward performance, a balanced helm and strength. Her modified fin keel and skeg-hung rudder provides excellent maneuverability and her canoe stern gives the offshore sailor that extra degree of safety from following seas. However, Xanthippe has the problematic blistering common to Valiants of that era which appears to be more cosmetic than structural. She is priced to reflect that fact. Owned for 25 years by the current owners, she took them safely to Mexico and back. They are very motivated to sell their beloved boat and will seriously consider all offers.
