Accommodations
Walk up the Marquip seven step gangway to board Island Spirit from the starboard or port side. The bow has two deck boxes with teak lids and cushions with canvas covers. Also on the bow is a Eurovinil Zattera 6 person life raft mounted forward of the hatch; the backside of the hatch has additional shore power and shore water connection inlets. Installed on the bow pulpit is a Maxwell electric windlass with a Fortress anchor. Below the windlass is an access cabinet below, windlass remote control on stbd. side of pulpit-(inoperable), water spicket on the port side. The bow seating area has storage underneath that stows the cushions, power cords and lines. The top side of the seating also has storage for the remaining bow cushions. The pilothouse windows and all teak railings have canvas covers. The brow has an ACR searchlight and horns. Portside has a Glendinning cable master and two diesel fills; starboard side has two additional diesel fills.
Walk up five teak steps to the bridge deck that has the Marquip hydraulic davit, storage locker that houses the two propane tanks for the galley stove and four fender holders directly above. Mounted on starboard railing is a 7 step ladder, throwable ring and illumination marker ACR-SM-2.
Moving forward from starboard and up two steps brings you to the upper helm station. The helm has a Garmin chartplotter, Danforth compass, Simrad VHF, rudder indicator. Two cushioned helm seats and bench aft with life vests stored underneath.Two stereo speakers are connected to both upper and lower Garmin chartplotters for music access from multi-media player in the pilothouse.
Entering the lower pilothouse through the starboard door; both doors have full length mosquito screens. To the aft outboard side are the A/C & D/C panels, fuel and water gauges, and forward is the Xantrex monitor. The helm has a Garmin chartplotter, Garmin autopilot, Danforth compass, Icom handheld. Overhead is the Furuno GPS/WAAS navigation, Lowrance Link8, a/c controls and two flip down cabinets. Below are the Naiad indicators and cabinet with Fusion MS-AV 750 multimedia player inside. Aft is the raised U-shaped leather settee with storage drawers below for storage and a teak table. The captain's watch berth is directly aft of the settee.
Forward of the pilothouse and down 7 steps leads you to the master and forward stateroom. The master has a great spacious layout with adequate storage throughout. The head is up one step and has a vanity with a medicine cabinet, Raritan Atlantes electric toilet and tub.
Exiting the master, starboard side forward is the guest head that can be accessed through either the hallway or guest stateroom. The head has a vanity, medicine cabinet, electric head and ample storage.
The guest v-berth has a reading lamp and shelf on both sides. Overhead is a large hatch for a good breeze and sunlight. Plenty of drawer space and additional storage underneath the mattresses. The closet is located on the port side with a small cushioned seat below, and full length mirror directly across.
Aft of the pilothouse is the full beam salon. Down three steps from the pilothouse is the breakfast bar with storage compartments below. The starboard outboard wall is lined with shelving and a/c unit along the aft wall. Overhead are four teak rod holders on both sides. All the windows have roll down shades. The portside of the salon has a large U-shaped settee with a teak table. The settee also converts into an additional sleeping area. Forward is the galley with plenty of counter space and cabinets for all your cooking essentials. The galley has a large s/s sink, Maytag propane 4-burner stove with safety shut-off switch, Kenmore Elite microwave, Whirlpool s/s refrigerator. The Frigidaire washer & dryer is located behind the cabinet next to the refrigerator.
Entering the cockpit directly to your starboard side is a Frigidaire 10 cu.ft. deep freezer, shore power inlets and water fill..The port side provides three water connections. Overhead are additional accessory holders, the transom has 8 built-in rod holders, and a Magma grill. Aft is the swim platform and swim ladder.
Below deck in the lazarette, houses the 8D batteries, Village Marine 800 GPD water maker and spare parts.
Moving forward into the engine room to starboard is the Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 battery charger/inverter, Phasor generator-approx. 700 hrs, (2) Trojan Reliant deep cycle battery banks, Kidde fire suppression system, Naiad stabilizer system and Detroit Diesel engine with rebuilt transmission in 2016.
Port side aft is the 12v D/C battery panel, toolbox, Phasor generator-approx. 700 hrs, a/c units mounted outboard and Detroit Diesel engine with rebuilt transmission in 2016.
Also in the engine room is a Reverso oil change system for convenience.
