HULL AND SUPERSTRUCTURE

• Built of aluminum by the prestigious Burger Boat Company, Inc. and designed by the renown Sparkman & Stephens

• Deck: Teak over plywood over aluminum plating – renewed in 2009

• Superstructure, topsides, and bottom: Aluminum plating

• Keel: ¾” length

• Frames: ¼” X 2-3/4” x 1-1/2” aluminum stock on 15” centers

• Deck Beams: 1/4” X 3” X -1/2” aluminum L frames on 15’ centers

HULL:

• Bulkheads: (7) partial in salon and aft staterooms

BOTTOM:

• Sandblasted and sealed with Tuff Coat Epoxy and then painted

• Boat was hauled April 2022 for yearly bottom job. Photos available to reflect smooth bottom

• All propulsion hardware polished to bare metal with 2 coats of prop speed applied

• (11) Zincs replaced in February by diver who monthly cleans the bottom at the dock

• (2) Coats of Seahawk BioCap Dark Blue 1230 applied to bottom

•  Both Allison transmissions were replaced in 2016 with less than 1800 hours. Reduction Gear: 2:1

• Propellers: Two new 32 X 25 four-bladed bronze and 2 reconditioned spares

• (4) New 2-1/2” Stainless shafts with 4 cutlass bearings and 2 new Tide Marine water cooled shaft seals

ENGINE ROOM

• GE washing machine and dryer, 220V

• Sea Exchanger XTC 12002 watermaker – serviced yearly by Elite Marine representing manufacturer. Capacity 50 gallons/hr.

• Marine Air by Dometic air conditioning; 2-stage, 4-ton each chilled water system. Variable compressors to minimize operating amperage. Servicing (11) digitally controlled air handlers located throughout the vessel to include engine room, flybridge, and air-conditioned heads

• CO2 System – canisters removed, and pressure checked at facility, reinstalled with all new pressure hoses, plus installation of 6 new hand-held fire extinguishers to meet code

• New Allison Torqumatic transmissions, and rear water pumps replaced by Charleston Shipyard

• Head Hunter water pressure system. March 5 pump with diaphragm

• Glendinning engine synchronizer, New

• Glendinning 100’ shore power recoil at starboard bow

• (2) Water heaters – 220-volt, 60 gallons each

MASON’S CANDY is for those clients who understand and appreciate the attributes of a quality built, pedigree yacht that has had the benefit of being owned by a knowledgeable and experienced yachtsman. She is now for sale because the owner and his family can no longer use her as they have done for eight years: to cruise from Florida back and forth to the Bahamas three times, and to Nantucket and back twice. Realistic seller who wants his yacht sold sooner rather than later.
