The Sparkman & Stephens designed Tartan 41 (T-41) - like the Swan 41 - is an almost identical version of the original custom racing sloop commissioned by British PM Sir Edward Heath. Morning Cloud was so successful on the international racing circuit that the designer agreed to put it into production resulting in the T-41 and the Swan 41. The boats had a remarkable impact on ocean racing and were so well built that most, despite being 40+ years, show no structural problems and are still racing and cruising today.� 

Tartan, in conjunction with Sparkman & Stephens, produced a number of excellent boats with fine reputations - of them all the T-41 is probably the most elegant and exciting to sail.

Extremely seaworthy and fast, this Sparkman & Stevens-designed yacht was built for serious offshore racing in her day, and once raced 10 Macs in a row. Now available for serious offshore cruising or weekend excursions. Great Lakes all of her life. Many upgrades since 2008, including electric two speed self tailing winches in the cockpit. Bottom soda-blasted and re-done in 2011. New wireless Ray Marine wind, depth, speed instruments, non-skid deck paint. Starboard hull painted (Awlgrip) Fall 2019. Many extras.
