The Chance 3030 was the one and only racing boat built by the Allied Boat Company during the 20 years they were in business. Allied turned to one of the best racing boat designers of the time, Britton Chance of Hughes Aerospace, to design the boat. In addition to the 3030 Chance also designed the America’s Cup winner Intrepid and was one of the first designers to use carbon fiber in the maritime industry. Applying his skills to the 3030, he created an incredibly fast boat for her era. Allied was noted for overbuilt ocean-going cruisers.

This Vessel has always been used in Lake Erie’s Fresh Water.
