'Odyssea' was built in Pietarsaari, Finland in 1972 - She is hull #38. Her molded & laminated fiberglass hull shines with a Flag Blue Alexseal topsides paint job, with gold molded cove stripe and white boot stripe, completed in 2008.Her classic reversed transom speeds across any race finish line!� � 

Her bottom is green antifouling. She's a firm and proven blue water racer with double tabbed plywood bulkheads, a fin style keel and a modified rudder - designed by Jim Taylor - to lengthen and nearly match her keel. This results in a powerful boat that sails with very little weather helm, even in 25 plus knots of breeze!�

Starting in her spacious cockpit, you're surrounded by neatly organized rigging and the comfort of full teak decks, navy� cockpit cushions and a cream colored dodger. Her large helm is a pleasure to steer and there's easy access to sail controls all throughout the cockpit. There's a 5" Sestral compass at her binnacle to compliment a full suite of marine electronics.� 

Moving forward, on her boom you'll find a well serviced Hallett Canvas and Sails Stack pack with lazy jacks and a roller furling head sail. Her sail inventory includes: a Hallet Sails Pentax main with stack-pack system, Doyle 140% genoa, a #3 jib, storm jib and asymmetrical spinnaker. Her main is equipped with a strong-back track system.� 

She has an aluminum, keel stepped mast, aluminum boom and two aluminum poles. Her standing rigging is composed of 1x19 stainless rigging wire with Norseman fittings and solid stainless turnbuckles: 3/8" upper and lower shrouds to 5/8" and 1/2" stainless chains, 3/8" backstay to a 1/2" stainless chainplate. Her headstay is covered with luff track to a 1/2" stainless tang at stem head fitting. There is also a baby headstay of 1/4" wire with swaged fittings to 7/16" chainplate. She has three Barlow 24 winches at her mast, an updated Harken traveller, Hall Spar Quik Vang and Harken roller furling headstay.� 

Her running rigging is 7x19 stainless wire splice to braided dacron for halyards with a Lewmar jib track and Palmer Johnson turning blocks. She's outfitted with two Barient 28+ winches, a single Barlow #16 winch in the cockpit and two Barlow #30 and one Barient #10 winches on her cabin top. Her decks are teak over molded fiberglass with a foam core. The cabin top is molded fiberglass with a foam core and molded non-skid in grey. 'Odyssea' is a powerful vessel under sail. She's well outfitted for extended racing and or cruising with radar and a full suite of marine electronics.� 

She has rail and mast mounted navigation lighting- running and anchoring. Swan provides a sturdy and safe build with double piped bow and stern rails, double lifelines (replaced in 2009), deck mounted stanchions, teak handrails and toerails, two 12" four-bolt aluminum cleats, two bronze twist chocks, and aluminum stern cleats with closed chocks. 'Odyssea' is equipped with a Danforth 22 anchor and a USA 18 anchor- one stored on deck, and another below under her forward cabin berths.� 

Centerline and below her companionway steps, is her 1992 Westerbeke 42B-Four engine. Panels surrounding the engine are easily removed for a nearly full 360 degree service access. She's fresh water cooled with a raw water heat exchanger and wet exhaust system. (Below water you'll find a 16" three-bladed Maxi-prop. In 2008, the engine was removed, a new exhaust elbow and new heat exchanger were installed, and her starter was rebuilt -�  The raw water strainer gasket was found to be leaking in 2020 and was replaced. Her fresh water pump was also upgraded to a Jabsco Par-Max4 water pump at this time and her stuffing box and associated hoses were also replaced and re-packed. All work was completed by Handy Boat Services in Falmouth, Maine.)� 

Aft of her companionway steps and engine box are two cozy aft cabins with single quarter berths. The interior is nicely finished with varnished light-shaded Koto plywood and mahogany trim. The overhead is finished with an acoustic style headliner fabric and her soles are varnished teak and holly.� � 

To port you have you a spacious hanging locker and your navigation station: with her AC and DC panels, marine electronics monitors and ample chart and storage space. 'Odyssea' is outfitted with a Raymarine VHF, C80 GPS and Radar, Raytheon ST4000+ Auto Pilot, Raymarine Depth, Speed and Wind indicators and a Clarion stereo system, as well as 12V lighting throughout her cabin spaces. She's equipped with three Group 27 batteries to power this 12V DC system and a 30amp Shore Power connection. New Group 31 starting battery�  and W/B 42b-4 Starter in Spring of 2020.� 

To starboard is a full L-shaped� galley with Sea Frost refrigeration, a deep single basin stainless steel sink, a three burner LP stove and gimbaled oven and ample drawer and locker storage.� 

Moving forward into her salon, you're flanked with very comfortable settees that work well as single and pilot berths. There's a centerline drop-leaf table with bottle storage and would be fit to entertain six plus guests aboard! Mounted to a forward bulkhead is an efficient Retelco Cole Stove cabin heater, with double wall vent pipe, for comfort no matter the weather.� Throughout her cabin you'll find two oil lamps, comfortable cushions and lee boards for all her berths.� 

Forward of her salon is her marine head to port. To starboard is another huge hanging locker. Her V-berth affords an astounding amount of storage below her bunks on either side and a substantial anchor locker. Above is sliding hatch access for fantastic natural ventilation and easy access to the foredeck.�
