Accommodations
The main salon consists of a convertble dinette to port with a bookshelf behind. Opposite is the galley with a two burner alcohol stove, stainless steel sink with manual water pressure, a large icebox and numerous lockers above and below for galleyware. Aft of the galley is a quarterberth. Forward of the galley is a large hanging locker with shelf. Opposite is the enclosed head with sink and vanity. Next forward is the V-berth. The cushions are 6'6" in length. There is an opening hatch for light and ventilation. The interior is light and airy and with 6' headroom in the main salon Asterias is remarkably roomy for a 28 footer.

Asterias has had many recent upgrades by a loving owner of 14 years. They include the following:

Full Battened main with 2 reefs '92 by Fortune; Furlex roller furler '99; 135% roller furling genoa '99 by Maine Sailing Partners; Storm jib retrofitted to furler '99; There is a very good condition 150% genoa not yet converted to the furler.

REMARKS: This classic CCA design is fast, seaworthy and comfortable. She has been maintained to high standards as is evident by the upgraded inventory list. She was built to high standards using the best available products and materials of her time including bronze thru-hulls and heavy guage wiring throughout. Her current owner has had her for 14 years. A testimony to the enjoyment the Morgan 28 has provided over the years. Asterias is a great family boat and a wonderful way to get started in a quality classic sailboat. This is not to be confused with the Morgan Out Island28.
