A classic Ed Monk, Sr. design, Bacchanal is as comfortable in a seaway as she is at anchor. Built in 1970 by Ferdinand Nimphius, a premier builder of the day, she is an exceptionally stout vessel. Double planked with mahogany over cedar and substantial oak framing, you are unlikely to find a build of comparable quality.

At 48′ and with double staterooms, master and day heads and a roomy saloon, she is well suited for either extended voyages or as a live-aboard. The twin Detroit 8-53s provide both economical and reliable service and have been well maintained. All major systems (electrical, plumbing, ect.) have been meticulously upgraded. Interior cosmetic enhancements have also been substantial.

In short, this is not your typical “wooden project boat.” A prime example of both Monk and Nimphius’ work, she has always benefitted from exceptional care. Recently surveyed, a copy is available for interested parties.
