HISTORY: The vessel was first built in 1966 by Kok Shipyards Ltd., in Muiden, Holland. She is structured of welded steel throughout. It is designed with a drop keel (which is ketch rigged) and has the capacity to be a fully functioning sailing vessel. She has twin diesel engines and when the drop keel is retracted, she becomes a conventional straight clear keel pleasure motor vessel.

She was rebuilt in 2006 and due to the amount of detail and expertise put into the vessel she took many years to restore. The vessel has had its hull restored to mint condition; all electrical wiring has been renewed, as well as all machinery and ancillary parts. Any retained equipment has also been fully serviced including an overhaul of the drop keel assembly. All machinery including anchor winches and steering gear have been renewed. The pumps and systems installed are new and the vessel has been completely rewired to code plus, to support 12 and 24 volt DC as well as 120-240 volts AC, each with its own distribution panel. All piping has been renewed; all accommodations have been refurbished or renovated and redecorated with new soft furnishings. All of the firefighting and lifesaving appliances have all been renewed or refurbished and a system of alarms put in place to offer the highest safeguards for those onboard.

All sails and rigging were renewed; the wood masts complete with all rigging were professionally examined, restored and enhanced. In an attempt to maintain the original charm and ambiance of the vessel’s interior, the cabin interiors have been updated and enhanced with classic furnishings and fittings.

LAYOUT: The vessel is flush decked with a step down cockpit at the stern. Below deck the vessel is divided transversely into compartments: forward dry storage space with watertight door, crew and guest accommodations (along with washrooms and galley), engine room with main lounge above, guest and owner’s accommodations (including washrooms) and finally the lazarette. From the after deck immediately abaft the wheelhouse are steps down to an open cockpit.  The open cockpit has circumference seating and which is partially protected from the weather with a framed overhead canopy.

All fittings, without exception, have been renewed, the drop keel restored and all deck surfaces and bright work also brought back to original.
