Accommodations
Exquisite condition below with a Herreshoff style interior of mahogany on white panels with a varnished teak sole. The interior was done by Derekto Yacht Yards in City Is. NY. Six opening ports and 4 large fixed ports along with 2 large hatches and two bronze dorades provide abundant nautral light and ventilation. All of the opening ports and hatches have screens. Artificial lights via reading lamps at each berth and settee with addtional dome style overhead lamps to provide lighting the galley area.
Starting forward is the fwd. cabin with V-berth below which there is storage in 2 drawers and 2 drop face lockers. There is also storage on a full length shelf over the berth. Aft and to starboard is a hanging locker and a small bureau with 4 drawers.
Continuing aft to port is the enclosed head with manual W.C., porcelin sink with H&C pressure water and storage in 4 drawers and 3 large lockers. Opposite the head is a 2nd hanging locker and bureau wtih drawers.
Next aft is the main cabin featuring settee berths P&S. The port berth pulls out for more comfortable sleeping when necessary and there is a pilot berth above. There are 3 drawers in the seat back for the settee berth and three drawers to starboard as well as three drop face lockers. Above the starboard berth is a deep shelf. At the foot of the port berth there is a small 3 drawer bureau and additional locker outboard. On C/L is a varnished drop leaf table that also provides some storage.
Next aft is the galley which is split P&S. To starboard is a large well insulated, stainless steel lined ice box, just aft of which is a wet locker. The top of the ice box doubles nicely as nav. station. To port is the balance of the galley including a 3 burner, gimballed propane stove, single basin sink with pressure H&C water and good counter space and storage.
The yacht is fitted out as original including a Luke soapstone fireplace which has been converted to propane for season extending cruises or to take the chill off on a foggy morning.
