AdditionalThis Little Harbor 36 has enjoyed substantial re-fit work over the last decade, most work done by Great Island Boat Yard of Harpswell, Maine.
Designed by Ted Hood for his own personal use, it was originally named ROBIN TOO II. He and his family raced her for a few years, and among many other victories won the Marblehead to Halifax Race.
In more recent years (since 2005) she has enjoyed re-fits including refastening her double-planked hull and stripping the bottom, new engine, new rudder, new main and mizzen masts along with all rigging, all new sails, and mostly new electronics, extensive re-fit of her decks and Awlgripping of same; also the hull has been Awlgripped.
Under current ownership, she has sailed two Atlantic Circles including the Med and Carribbean covering 40,000 miles and 17 countries.
Typical of Ted Hood's work, the Little Harbor 36 sails very well in light air, yet can be counted on to perform well and stay on her feet in a breeze. She carries an extensive sail inventory including a staysail on a removeable inner forestay for heavy weather.
While simple below decks compared to today's "marina queens," the Little Harbor 36 sails wonderfully and turns heads wherever she goes.
