Mechanical Seller's comments: "Universal 18hp diesel w/about 500 hours, fresh water cooled. The engine drives a 3-blade propeller. Both forward and reverse have excellent torque and the boat is m oved quietly and vibration free. Water pump, oil, filters and impeller have recently been replaced. Sails and Rigging Masthead rig sloop with fixed backstay. Mast height approx. 48' from waterline. The original boom is installed on a newer Proctor Aluminum mast, with stainless steel rigging to bronze turnbuckles. The mainsail has a max hoist of 40'6" and a min hoist of 38'6". The foot of the main is 14'1" max to 12'9" min (16" outhaul travel). The "J" dimension (distance from forestay to mast) is 14'. - Mainsail w/2 sets of reef points

Construction Carvel 15/16" mahogany planks on steam-bent white oak frames; white oak horn timber, deadwood and keel plank; silicon bronze refastened in 1998. The keel bolts are stainless steel and have also been recently replaced. Plywood deck with WEST System fiberglass and a 1/2" sprung teak deck installed in 1998. Tiller steering to keel hung rudder. In 2004 the boat was completely taken down to bare wood below the waterline, all seams were reefed and recaulked and (2) planks were replaced in the bow. No trace of rot was found on the hull. Then most of the topsides were sanded down. The Owner says the ribs are in good shape as well as the floors. The iron ballast is bolted through the keel with stainless steel bolts. Much of the interior has recently been repainted . New in '05: updated wiring; Balmar ARS-4 alt regulator; new head and holding tank; pressure water with all new hoses and new paint top to bottom inside and out. The cabin top is Dynel over cedar, painted in '05. "Roshika" has new black bottom paint, dark blue topsides, gold cove and waterline stripes, (8) coats of varnish on all her bright work and is gleaming. |
