ACCOMODATIONS AND LAYOUT: The Catalina 34 is the true classic cruiser design that maximizes interior volume and accommodations without sacrificing cockpit space and sailing characteristics. This popular Catalina 34 has been meticulously maintained, and boasts a shoal draft wing keel with all the amenities and features to make sailing fun and enjoyable. The accommodations are well thought out; featuring a large forward V-berth with lots of space and storage lockers. The generous aft berth master cabin with private entrance and door feature, a custom mattress and lots of storage and space to move around. The head has a separate shower compartment, plenty of storage, mirrored vanity with sink and hot/cold pressure water. The large U-shaped main salon features maroon colored interior cushions with full size salon table that converts to a berth and a large settee to port side.
GALLEY: To starboard side features a double stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, top loading ice box and a Hillerange two (2) burner stove with oven. There is lots of cabinet storage in the galley to easily accommodate the items needed for a weekend cruise or longer trips. This boat is set up for the cook at sea! To help feed your crew the boat also has numerous drawers for storage, dry storage area, large countertops and pump overboard for ice box drain.
HEAD(S): Located to port side with separate shower area, vanity with mirror, storage below stainless steel sink, hot/cold pressure water, 18 gal holding tank, 75 gallon freshwater tank. The head has been flushed with freshwater to decrease the odor and improve sanitation in the holding tanks.
ELECTRONICS AND NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT: This Catalina 34 is outfitted with all the standard equipment including Datamarine knot, depth and wind speed/direction indicators mounted in the cockpit. AM/FM radio with cassette player and speakers installed in cabin, Pro 15 wind indicator, mast mounted VHF antenna with VHF marine radio at the nav station. At the helm a Ritchie binnacle compass and Color Wheelz rubber composite dipped helm wheel round out a well equipped boat.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Drummer has five (5) 110v outlets, two (2) new SeaGel marine gel batteries with new heavy gauge cables, Kenmar 15 amp battery charger, 30amp shore power service hook up with AC/DC electrical breaker instrument panel and battery switch at nav station.
SAILS & RIGGING: This is a Standard Rig Catalina 34 with the desirable Hood 915 single line headsail furling system. Drummer has upgraded to a North Sails Nordac Crosscut 7.8 oz. offshore mainsail and custom North Sails 155% Dacron 6 oz. cruising furling genoa. All control lines are led aft to the cockpit to make things easy for short or single handed sailing. Large helm wheel, boom vang, two (2) cabin top self tailing winches, two (2) primary self tailing winches in cockpit combing for genoa, mid-boom sheeting with lines led aft, adjustable cabin top mounted mainsheet and traveler controls, two (2) winch handles, adjustable genoa leads on deck make trimming the sails simple and efficient. Also included is a white UV cover on the headsail, white mainsail cover, white pedestal cover (all to match the bimini/dodger), spreader boots and Lazy Jacks for easily flaking the mainsail.
MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT & ENGINE DETAILS: Drummer comes with the standard Universal XP25, 25 Hp inboard diesel engine with only 500 original hours. All maintenance records and preventative maintenance has been completed and available for the next owner to use and see how meticulously maintained the boat has been. The engine has been commissioned and runs very strong so you can enjoy the boat this season. There is a 23 gal fuel tank, Racor fuel filter, and an upgraded 3 blade fixed propeller to get you moving under power.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: The Catalina 34 has stainless steel lifelines, custom Teakflex side by side twin bow anchor roller, Danforth 25 primary anchor with 15’ chain and 200’ nylon line rode, Danforth 12 lunch hook secondary anchor with ground tackle also stowed in forward anchor locker. White throw-able horseshoe style PFD with storage bracket on stern pulpit. Various dock lines, fenders, fire extinguishers, PFD life preservers, horn and flares also included.
CANVAS AND OTHER EXTRAS: “Drummer” has custom white canvas bimini and dodger made by Creative Canvas, custom white boom tent and cabin awning with telescoping aluminum supports. Custom white vinyl cabin hand rail and hatch covers made to protect from the elements and Bottomsiders custom white cockpit cushions with backrests to match. There is a custom teak outboard motor mount on the stern pulpit, teak boarding ladder steps, solid teak folding cockpit table and drink holders along with a Magma propane grill with mounting for the stern pulpit rail.
