Accommodations & Layout
The interior of Fresh Aire was designed by the importer of Hans Christian Yachts, taking the best features from years of commissioning these boats. The entire teak interior is finished with stain varnish. The enclosed head is forward with a large, separate shower stall to port. The head itself is enclosed in a teak cabinet obscuring it from view. Just aft of the head and shower is a marble topped vanity and s/s sink with a large mirror over. Excellent storage under the sink and in the head area. Next aft is a Pullman queen berth to port and a large double hanging locker to starboard. There are six drawers and two lockers at the front of the Pullman berth as well as storage underneath. Just aft of the double hanging locker is a bank of three large, deep drawers at the forward end of the straight settee to starboard in the salon. At the other end of the straight settee is a bulkhead-mounted Dickinson solid fuel heater, still in pristine condition - never used. (Additionally, the starboard settee back swings up to form two pilot berths.) Across to port is an L-shaped dinette with a large teak table able to seat six comfortably. Abundant storage befitting the style of a well-built cruising boat is found under and behind the settees as well as throughout the boat. The galley is to port with excellent countertop space, top and front loading refrigerator, double s/s sinks and a beautiful Dickinson s/s stove and oven. Rather than the usual quarter berth aft to starboard, Fresh Aire has a spacious nav station with plenty of room for your computer and your charts. A swing out stool tucks under the chart table when not in use. Aft of the nav station is a large wet locker that extends under the cockpit. Lee cloths on the starboard straight settee and strong, sturdy safety straps in the galley and nav station ensure safe, comfortable passages. All bronze ports open for good ventilation. Many deck prisms and large overhead hatches allow good light into the interior
