Accommodations
Bristol Yachts was known for its highly detailed and beautifully finished varnished interiors with a laid varnished teak and holly sole and abundant storage for the serious cruising family. FAIRWINDS has the preferred teak interior and preferred 2 stateroom, 2 head layout. The interior is in impressive condition and shows like new!
Twelve opening ports, 2 large hatches (all with screens) and 2 polished stainless steel dorades ('01) provide copious amounts of natural light and ventilation. Swivel style chrome reading lamps at all berths and settees along with additional overhead dome style lamps provide equally abundant artificial lighting. Espar diesel cabin heat supplies plenty of warmth for season extending cruises or to take off the chill on a foggy morning.
Starting forward is the private forward cabin with private access to the forward head. The cabin features a V-berth with filler above. The hull is lined with teak ceilings and underdeck lockers running the full length of the berths add to the already impressive amount of storage. Below the berth there is storage in 2 large drawers and 2 drop face lockers. There is additional bin type storage forward and below the berth. Access to the chain locker is through doors in the fwd bulkhead. Aft of the starboard V is a generous hanging locker and a bureau. Private access to the foward head is aft of the port V.
The forward head features a vanity with stainless steel sink, H&C pressure water, good amount of storage, manual W.C. plumbed via Y valve to the holding tank and ensuite shower. There is a teak trimmed oval mirror.
Continuing aft is the Main Salon, a truly inviting space. To port is a U-shaped dining settee with drop leaf table. Below the settee there is storage in drop face lockers, behind the seat backs there are storage cubbies and above the settee there is storage in lockers with louvered doors. This storage arrangement is mirrored to starboard where there is a straight settee above, a pilot berth with book shelves and louvered lockers over. Forward of the starboard settee is a bureau with a locker behind.
Aft and to port is the separate aft head with vanity, stainless sink, H&C pressure water, manual W.C. plumbed via Y valve to the holding tank, storage and ensuite shower plumbed to a separate sump.
Just aft of the aft head is the private aft cabin with generous double quarter berth. Again, above the berth the hull is lined with teak ceilings and a shelf for storage is provided. Forward of the berth is a large hanging locker with bureau in front and private access to the aft head.
Opposite the aft cabin is the Galley (see sep. section) and the generous Nav. Station. The Nav. Station has a large area for charts, flip top style chart table with additional storage in 2 lockers a drawer and thwartship shelf. The yacht's electrical distribution panel is located here. Forward of the Nav. Station is the galley.
