Accommodations
There is a large v-berth forward with teakwood throughout and a custom teakwood shoe-locker which also aids in accessing the v-berth. Next aft to port is a large head compartment with a Vacuflush head, sink with vanity and shower with hot and cold pressure water. The main salon has a straight settee to starboard and an L-shaped settee to port. There is storage above the settees in lockers. The dining table folds to store on the bulkhead. There is a large nav table aft to starboard with a swing out stool for the navigator. There is room for the flush mounting of electronics and storage for nav gear. The U-shaped galley is to port with lots of storage. A large double aft cabin is aft to starboard. Teak and holly cabin sole throughout.
Galley
The galley features a hot and cold pressure water system with double stainless steel sinks; three burner Tasco propane stove with oven and solenoid; lots of storage above and below the counters; Xintex propane fume detector.
Electronics
Raytheon ST60 depth, speed, and wind mounted at the steering pedistal; Northstar Loran with full function displays at the nav station and the cockpit; Autohelm 6000 autopilot; Ritchie compass; Icom VHF; hailer/foghorn; Raytheon radar mounted on a custom arch aft of the cockpit with RL70 readout at the helm and R80 plotter at the nav table, GPS integrated with radar/plotter.
Electrical
12 volt dc system with two large house batteries; dedicated engine start battery; 110 volt AC system with shore power cord; There are solar panels mounted on the radar arch to trickle charge the batteries.
Sails
Full battaned mainsail with Bat-cars and Doyle Stackpack flaking system; lazy-jacks; self-tending jib on a boom on foredeck; spinnaker deployed with a Hoyt gun-mount device; overlapping genoa sheets to snatch blocks on the slotted toerail; electric main halyard winch.
Deck
White hull and deck with blue boot and cove stripes; Gray non-skid surface was redone by Marblehead Trading Company in 2001. Slotted aluminum toe-rail; Edson diamond series steering pedistal with single lever control on the pedistal. Bow and stern pulpits with double lifelines and boarding gates; free-standing carbon fibre mast; anchor and rode; Barient self-tailing electric winch on coachroof; Barient 27 self tailing winch. Control lines are led to the cockpit; dodger and bimini with full cockpit enclosure; spare main halyard; custom boom crutch.

Rufus T. Firefly is a suberbly equipped and maintained example of this high quality family cruiser. She has always been stored indoors and professionally maintained. Many upgrades have been well thought-out by her knowlegable owners. Her owners are moving to a larger yacht.
