AdditionalA two-owner boat, this Sabre 362 enjoyed wonderful care along with light use. For those seeking a contemporary performance cruising yacht, she should be seriously considered.
A quick note on centerboard boats, Often less knowledgeable buyers will rule out a boat because it has a centerboard (one more thing to maintain, though taken to an extreme that would leave you with a boat equipped with a hand pump and a bucket for amenities!). That said, a centerboard provides for a wide range of balance control of the yacht. Often when sailing the helm becomes heavy even with the traveler eased, but is not yet overpowered, simply raising the centerboard 5% moves the center of lateral resistance aft quite a bit thereby balancing the helm and leaving the boat powered up while the wing keel or fin keel boat only has the option of reefing while you sail by! The centerboard is only necessary when sailing reasonably close to hard on the wind so whetted surface is reduced at all other times.

ConstructionAs reported in Spin Sheet magazine:
The construction of the 362ââ?¬â?¢s hull is hand-laminated fiberglass with balsa wood coring. The decks, cockpit, and cabin are hand laminated as a single unit with fiberglass, balsa, and marine-grade plywood. The hull and deck are joined at an internal flange with adhesive sealants and bolts on six-inch centers.Ã?Â
The quality of Sabres construction is first-rate throughout, but what appeals to me most is that Sabre remains one of the few production boatbuilders that minimizes its use of fiberglass liners and modules. Instead, bulkheads and joiner work are attached with fiberglass tabs directly to the hull; thus, becoming an integral part of the structure. When properly done, both methods of the construction result in strong boats, but the less a builder relies on fiberglass liners and pans, the better the access for inspection, repairs, and service.
Winter CoverThe boat comes with a full "Miller" cover and frame. Shown in photos
