A Note from the Owner:

The Sand Castle became ours in 2008. We were the third owners, I believe. Over the decade we owned her she was cared for with love, expert shipwrights and tens of thousands of dollars.�  The primary captain was a former high altitude, expedition mountaineer who survived and succeeded by detailed attention to maintenance of equipment, preparation, and safety.�  These habits were transferred to the Sand Castle.�  She is extraordinarily well found and safe.

This and her design make for many great sails to Maine, and Nantucket. As the wind freshens she heels and settles in at a solid 20 degrees. Throw in a reef and she drops to a comfortable 15 degrees.� Crew and passengers revel in the smooth power of a reach and the excitement when hard on the wind.

The extra powerful autopilot relieves the helm on long stretches.

We easily accommodate seven crew in three large cabins. And all can easily join in long, engaging meals in the cabin or cockpit.

Even when the weather turns sour the full Bimini and dodger with side curtains has kept us dry.�  Dry enough so I regularly sleep in the cockpit in all weather.
