The cockpit aboard the 2014 42 Viking ST ââ?¬Å?LAST TANGOââ?¬ï¿½ is all business. It is up to your whether that that business is fishing or cruising. She is equally well equipped for whatever it is that you enjoy. Her 120 square foot cockpit allows room for multiple anglers and mates to operate freely with dual mezzanine seats for observers. The helm deck is so close that communication is a breeze. For cruisers, the seating, space and layout is versatile and comfortable. Cockpit highlights include:

Just a few easy steps up from the cockpit brings us to the air conditioned helm deck. There have been custom handrails added to make this transition even easier. For wide open engine room access, the helm deck raises on hydraulic rams. The unique helm deck layout offers exceptional visibility from a raised center console command station. A centerline Release marine helm seat is flanked on both sides by matching companion seats. Dual bench seats just fwd on either side make the helm deck a very comfortable and social area to hang out. Additional helm deck features include:

Full complement of custom electronics including (2 ) Garmin 8000 multifunction displays for chartplotter, radar and sonar functions. Auto pilot, FLIR night vision, ICOM VHF radio, Smart craft engine gauges, Furuno RD 33 speed temp depth, Mya Epoch electric teaser reels with remote controls.
Just off center to port, forward of the helm is the sliding door access to the lower accommodations. A stairwell down leads us below to the spacious and comfortable layout. There is a dinette immediately to port. The high gloss teak dinette table also drops to create a versatile and functional sleeping berth. The full galley is located to port. The guest stateroom entrance is centerline aft. The full head is starboard forward of the galley and the master stateroom is all the way forward.
One of the most unique and important features of the 42 Viking ST interior layout is the second stateroom. Having a second stateroom on a 42 foot express boat is impressive enough, but the fact that the design of the second stateroom on the 42 Viking features side by side berths and not bunk beds is a true testament to the engineers at Viking Yachts. This allows for full size adults to comfortably sleep-in grown-up fashion. This allows the yacht owner the flexibility of a couple�s cruiser. This allows the fishing crew multiple comfortable berths for maximum anglers or crew.
Forward of the aft stateroom, to starboard of the stairwell down from the helm deck, is the fully equipped galley. The galley features everything a shipboard gourmet would require:
