(LOCATION: Piraeus Greece) This 1970 Bertram International 56 Motor Yacht is a spacious blue water cruiser with a long history. Richard Bertram broke through the above 50' Yacht overseas before he ever built in the US. To translate the virtues of the deep-V hull into high-performance yachts at least 50 feet long, he founded Bertram International. Built in Yokosuka City, Japan, Bertram gave the rights to the company to build the first 56' with the Bertram name attached and as a result was called the Bertram International. The yachts he built succeeded quickly, and in 1969, aboard his 56-foot Bertram International yacht "Envoy�, he set a Miami-New York nonstop record of 54 hours

The main deck features teak handrails, teak bow pulpit, Delta anchor, and power windlass. Side deck access to the main salon from either side. Two levels of sun lounges will make the sun bathers happy.

The flybridge features  a full enclosure with forward helm and guest seating aft. From the aft deck you can access the boarding ramp or swim platform. A roof mounted Zodiac RIB with 9.9 Johnson motor provides thin water access. A manual davit deploys and retrieves the Zodiac. A companionway starboard of the helm lead to the main deck salon.

The salon is large and open with galley access forward and bridge and master stateroom aft. Large windows provides lots of natural light while drapes protect privacy. There is comfortable seating to either side with entertainment center forward. A few steps down and forward we find a full galley with booth style dinette.

There are three staterooms. The guest stateroom forward of the galley features a V-berth and private head. A second guest stateroom is amidships with twin berths and guest head. The full beam master aft stateroom can be accessed from the salon and has twin berths with private head.
